Announce de vacances • Vacation notice

....... 20 Juillet - 1 Aout • 20 July - 1 August .......

It's that time of the year again to kick back and absorbed some much needed Vitamin D and jump off the grid for a bit. As for me, I like taking a bit of time of here and there, not the entire 4-5 weeks of straight vegetation like most French people do – unbeknownst to me the extent of seriousness they take it!

Tomorrow will be your last day to order anything and potentially have it sent of before my return on the 1st of August, unless it's bespoke to which then you'll have to wait.

Here are some new pieces I'd made ready-to-ship online.
See you when I return! Stay fresh.

What's new in Spring?

... plenty! Well, more than just a handful for now.

They're either unique one-off pieces or part of a small limited edition collection interpreted in different ways depending on the weather in me. If you like any of them, find it by clicking HERE.

Indulgent Keepsake Pebble ring band

In the last few weeks I've been tinkering away with an unused electric tool that's been tucked away for at least 3 years to date. It allowed me to create this Indulgent of a ring. It feels somewhat courageous and daring in many ways; artistically, spiritually & perhaps even spatially... liken to some sort of artistic "coming-out". It was fun! And I hope to prolong this journey in 2018.

Happy Spring to all in Europe!

2016

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and creative 2016 :)

I greet Minicyn this year as a promise to myself, a new addition to the subtle simple alternative wedding bands... The Laurel Laurier! It's made-to-order in either the humble Sterling silver or any of the 18karat family; White (not plated with Rhodium by default like in the shops to make them look "white" since White gold ain't quite that white), Yellow or Rose gold of your choice.

Nonetheless, on my list of 2016 must-create are more important things such like unique-pieces and a collective of small-series etc etc; working alone with no interruptions, pushing my creative boundaries as much as I can possibly AND having fun at the same time – that could be tricky at first but I can't wait!

Lunching at Mademoiselle VerteAdelie's

VerteAdelie aka Veronique(V)... real-life identity revealed. Who reminds me so much of the character of the film Amelie!

Last week, I had a special lunch invitation by lovely V whom I met through an exhibition of a mutual friend of ours Berenice (whom you'll see 'flipping' in one of the pics) chez hers. So unlike me, she was the perfect host, an ambassador of Paris to an expat lady like moi; she openly invited me over not only to munch up all her yummy concoction over chit chats, but also to view her wonderful, breathtaking, not to be missed Parisian view from her apartment. This was all from the 7th floor of one balcony where one could see not only see a little Eiffel tower but Sacre Coeur and half of Montmarte, city view of Paris, grassy hills etc. Perfectly planted in the heart of Paris' fabric/haberdashery area where countless numbers of these stores congregate, ahh heaven. How weird is that that's the area where 'Amelie' was filmed too.

Home made lunch courtesy of V was tops not to say the least! But here I surrender some pictures I took with my lil camera. Unfortunately it couldn't capture the full 180degree view from the balcony so here's a little teaser of Sacre Coeur in the background and beautiful Paris apartments in the foreground. Wouldn't you like that as a view chez yours?

For a silhouette illustrated version of her Balcony view check the top banner to her Blog!

Thank you Veronique for being such a lovely hostess with the mostess :x

Minicyn at the May Hotel Boheme Expovente!

Excellent! I got into the next May 29th-30th Hotel Boheme Expovente, starting from midday Saturday and Sunday 'til 8pm:
6 Rue Beauregard
Paris 75002
Metro 'Bonne Nouvelle'

Unfortunately though I won't be around myself as much as I would much prefer being a little of a perfectionist myself, but my faithful partner and a good friend(Lunaticart) will be helping me out... what are friends for eh ;) So come along to Paris, yes you heard me! Go get yourself a train or plane ticket and come support hand made.

Paris brass chains chains chains!

Ohh ahhhh... I've died and gone to heaven! I stumbled across this brass chains and findings shop in a little street in Paris after all these months and months of searching. As you know France isn't all that caught up in having a business related website, especially when it's has been passed down from generations and hadn't obviously suffered much for the need to promote or get with the times. Word of mouth is still very much the way one finds the way.

Here are some pictures of the inside store with it's original fit-outs, except the computer stands out like a sore thumb! Don't you just love the original cashier booth with the mesh bar still standing. Unfortunately, I didn't get to snap a pic of the resident black and white cat, who looks very well fed and very much at ease with strangers. Though I'm still little hesitant.... especially about it's crazy eyes!!

Here are some of my new NON-sterling silver pieces made from the store HERE!
